DUMBARTON GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Scottish town of Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire, once had a greyhound track which was located on Miller Street at Boghead Park and situated at 4° 33' W 55° 56' N. The park was the home of Dumbarton Football Club who had first moved to the park in 1879. The greyhound track held its inaugural meeting on 7th October 1932. A new grandstand was opened at the club in 1980 and it is known that the bookmakers stood at a small stand next to this new stand.
